Smart Energy (PV) was developed among other things for the use of surplus electricity from natural power plants, e.g. PV plants, and represents a genuine alternative to the EEG remuneration. Smart Energy (PV) is also a solution for systems that are phased out of the EEG.
The current meter belonging to the system reliably records excess current and determines the actually available excess energy (after deduction of all in-house consumers - these have priority). This energy is transmitted to the device, which is infinitely variable up to 15 kW, and the hydraulically integrated heat accumulator is heated for later use for heating and domestic hot water heating. In this way, the excess output of the PV system is converted into thermal energy and stored as regenerative energy.
The intelligent control system increases the amount of regenerative electricity consumed by the system itself and reduces the costs of conventional generation. The main difference to simple heating rods is that the temperature level can be precisely adjusted via the speed-controlled pump and thus only usable heat is produced at the required temperature level.
Smart Energy (PV) aims to use the surplus electricity from newly constructed photovoltaic systems to generate heating and hot water. The intelligent ratiotherm Smart Energy technology can also be an interesting supplement for old PV systems that are currently fully fed into the grid and are being phased out under the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG).
